Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests

Under the West Virginia Freedom of Information Act, the public is allowed to inspect and obtain information and records generated, developed or held by the Air Quality Board. You may refer to 52CSR1 Procedural Rule Governing Request For Information (FOIA) for additional information about this process.

If you would like to submit a request, it must be provided in writing and may require a processing fee to cover expenses incurred.

No Payment is due when the request is submitted. Your request for information will be processed and you will be notified of the cost for the response within 5 days. All fees are based on the specifics of the request (time to process and number of copies). If you elect to receive the information, available payment options are Mail Invoice or Secure Online Credit Card. If you select Secure Online Credit Card you will receive an e-mail noting the cost of the response and instructions for submission of payment.
